New Baby Checklist Essentials

Clothes – Babies grow very quickly.  Don’t spend a lot of money purchasing new born baby clothes as part of your new baby checklist.  You will come to realize that it can be a waste of money due to how quickly the baby will grow.  However, do consider adding to your new baby checklist clothing for all types of weather.  In addition, don’t forget to purchase baby laundry detergent for the clothes.

Baby Food – How you choose to feed, breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, will determine what you will need on your new baby checklist here.  If you plan to breastfeed, you will need to purchase bras, breast pumps, breast milk storage containers and other accessories that need to go with breastfeeding.  If you plan to bottle feed, you will need nipples, bottles, formula, bottle warmers, and the like.

Crib – New babies will spend the majority of their time sleeping.  Safety in a crib is paramount.  Therefore, purchase a crib with safety in mind.  Also, place the crib in a safe place.  You may also want to pick up a baby monitor, mattresses, sheets, and other accessories for the baby as part of your new baby checklist.

Car Seat and Stroller – No matter how far you travel, these are necessities.  Along with these when you travel, you will additionally need a diaper bag, baby sling, blankets, and etc.  These are a must as part of your new baby checklist.  Traveling with a new born can be complicated.

Diapers – You new baby will go through a lot of diapers.  Therefore, get baby diapers and wipes.  You will also need things like a changing table, diaper rash cream, hand sanitizer, and other accessories.  Some of which you can elect not to use.

Bath Tub – You can purchase a baby tub, sponge, lotion, shampoo, towels and etc as part of your new baby checklist.  However, the need for a baby tub can be delayed.  You can wash your new born baby in the sink.  Washing your baby in the sink will get your baby just as clean as washing your baby in a baby tub.

Certain disposable baby bottles aren’t going to give you the same benefits as others.  But, they will save you a lot of money if your plans are as stated above.

When purchasing baby bottles, there will be times where certain parts of the bottle will need to be replaced.  Know where to find these extra parts.  It is not practical to go with the more expensive bottles if you can’t afford the parts.  Just remember, go with the baby bottles that your baby is the most comfortable with.
